Før vi starter – ikke glem å bruke varmebeskyttelse. Det kan virke som et unødvendig produkt, men det er det ikke. La det bli din beste venn. Varmebeskyttelsen legger seg rundt hårstråene og beskytter håret mot varmen.


1. Unngå gjerne dusjen

Nyvasket hår er vanskeligere å krølle, det er ekstra glansfullt og vanskelig å forme. Lar du det gå en dag eller to, kan du utnytte hårets naturlige oljer! De gjør nemlig at håret får mer stabilitet.


2. Hold i krøllen

Når du har krøllet en hårlengde, holder du den en stund i håndflaten slik at den rekker å avkjøles. Slipp den deretter forsiktig ned. Krøllen får enda mer tid til å forme seg uten å måtte ligge mot en varm krølltang.


3. Del opp håret

Ta ikke for mye hår av gangen når du krøller håret. Det tar litt lengre tid, men det gjør at krøllene holder lenger. Jo tynnere hårlengder du tar, desto lenger holder looken.


4. La krøllene avkjøles 

Det eneste vi vil når vi har krøllet ferdig håret, er å børste ut krøllene raskt for å se det endelige resultatet. De er fremdeles varme og derfor også formbare. Vil du ha krøller som sitter lenge, må du la dem avkjøles før du tar frem børsten. En god rutine når du gjør deg klar, er å begynne med å krølle håret og sminke deg etterpå. Når du er ferdig med sminken, kan du børste ut krøllene.

Hår som virkelig ikke vil
Hvis ingen av metodene ovenfor fungerer på håret ditt, finnes det flere alternativer. Når du har laget en krøll, kan du feste den med en hårspenne eller hårnål. La den sitte i minst 30 minutter. 
 
Og store krøller er fantastisk fint – men de har betydelig vanskeligere for å holde formen. Prøv å gå ned en størrelse på krølltangen hvis du føler at krøllene slipper lett uansett hva du gjør.
