How to use Keratin Extensions

Keratin Extensions give you long hair that last! The extensions are attached with wax and hold up to three months. Choose from a variety of 40 different colours.

How to attach

1. Wash your hair. Use shampoo only. Dry it thoroughly and brush it.

2. Divide your hair into sections.

3. Take a section of your own hair. It should be as wide as the Keratin Extensions attachment and look like a semicircle.

4. Place a protective pad around the section and then a Keratin Extension under your own section of hair, approx. 0.5 cm from the hairline.

5. Melt the keratin attachment with the fusion connector designed for Keratin Extensions. Use two fingers to shape the attachment into a grain of rice around your own hair.

6. Repeat steps 3–5 with the remaining Keratin Extensions.

Pro Tip! Cut the keratin attachment vertically to create smaller attachments at the sides of your face.

How to remove

To remove your Keratin Extension, use remover and Keratin Extension pliers. Part the hair like when you put the extensions in and remove each extension individually, section by section. Apply remover to the attachment. Use the pliers to gently break loose the attachment. Create cracks in the attachment with the pliers until it becomes porous. If necessary, apply additional remover and carefully pull out the extension. If the attachment is stubborn, apply more remover, loosen with pliers and gently pull again. Comb out any residue with a pin tail comb

Step by step guide

Step 1.

Prepare your hair by washing your hair with Detox Charcoal Shampoo only, dry it completely and brush it through.

Prepare the attachment of your keratin extensions by having the correct tools ready.

You’ll need a fusion connector, protection pads, pin tail comb, alligator clip + smaller hair clips (3 pack hair clips black) and a brush.

Step 2.

Create a horizontal parting with a pintail comb and secure it over the parting with an alligator clip to avoid it slipping down.

Step 3.

Take a small section of your hair, just enough to fit into the keratin extension attachment.

Place a protective pad around the sectioned area and position the Keratin extension underneath the strand, approx 5 mm away from the scalp.

Step 4.

Melt the keratin attachment using the Keratin Fusion Connector, then quickly roll it closed between your fingers into a grain-of-rice shape.

Repeat the procedure with the remaining Keratin extensions, leaving approx 5 mm between each attachment.
