In order to meet your needs Rapunzel has therefore developed a variety of different methods of hair extensions that you can easily attach yourself at home.

Quick & Easy - Tape Extensions

  1. Part your hair horizontally at the nape of your neck and put the rest up with a clip.
  2. Remove the protective strip from a hair section.
  3. Place the tape 2-3mm below the parting. Press firmly into place.
  4. Using a tail comb, lift up the section of hair together with all the hair that is now stuck to the tape. Place a second piece of tape against the first so that you sandwich together your hair with tape either side.
  5. Press them together firmly - use pliers if you wish.

Hair secrets!
  • The tape method means that the hair can easily be re-used by removing the old tape and replacing with new.
  • Have fun! Quick & Easy is really effectful for colour highlights so don't be scared of trying out new colours and contrasts to your own.
  • Place the tape sections so that they are comfortable - you can set them at a slight angle if you wish.
You need:

Nail Hair

  1. Start at your nape. Part your hair with a tail comb and attach the protection pad. Use the comb to lift up a small amount of hair.
  2. Place the nail bond under the hair and melt the bond with a fusion connector.
  3. Use your fingers to firmly press and roll the bond together with your hair at the same time removing all air bubbles.
Hair secrets!
  • For a full head extension you will need roughly 100g hair. Divide the hair into 4-5 rows at the back and two rows each side of the head.
  • Nail hair is available in 40 different colours. Find yours and even mix for lovely effects.
  • With this method you can also do a hair thickening. For this you need much less hair - we recommend between 1-3 packs.

You need:

Stick Hair

  1. Thread a microring onto the hook and open the eye.
  2. Part your hair and grab a small section using the hook.
  3. Pull the hair through the microring.
  4. Pinch the microring hard with the pliers.
  5. Repeat until you have achieved the desired result.
Hair secrets!
  • Rapunzel® Stick Hair extensions are great for people trying extensions for the first time since they are easy to attach and remove yourself or with the help from a friend.
  • This method is also known as I-tip extensions because of the shape of the pre-bonded sections.
  • Stick hair extensions are attached to your own hair using microrings and can easily be re-attached.
  • Mix and match with any colours you like.
You need:

Hair weft

A hair weft can be attached in many different ways - glue, clips, microrings or sew it onto a french braid. Whichever method you choose we have the tools required in order to create the look at home.
Hair weft using microring attachment
  1. Part your hair horizontally at the nape. Cut the hair weft to the same length of the parting and attach the weft with clips.
  2. Place a microring on the hook.
  3. Take a small section of the hair weft as well as a section of your own hair and thread it through the microring.
  4. Pinch the microring tightly together.
Make your own Clip-on set
  1. A hair weft can easily be transformed into a Clip-on set. You can decide the length of each section yourself.
  2. Measure how long you want your sections to be then cut the hair weft accordingly and sew in the edges.
  3. Sew on the clips with needle and thread.
  4. If you want really thick hair then you can sew a few pieces together.
Hairdresser tip:
  • How many sections you want to attach is completely up to each individual. Some attach more and others less.
  • By sewing in other colours to your clip on set you can create lovely effects.
