Step-by-step - Pull-through Braid

3-15-2019

Our Clip-on set gives you a thick pull-through braid effortlessly! Pull-through braids are a combination between a ponytail and a braid. We made a video to show you how it works, step-by-step:

We used:

Clear rubber bands for attachment.
2 x Clip-on 3 pieces in color #14.
Volume powder for extra hold.
Salt spray for texture.

Pull-through braid:

  1. Make a middle part and attach the clip-on peices on either side of the part.
  2. Make two pigtails, on in the front and on behind the first.
  3. Divide the upper pigtail into two, and braid both parts on each side of the second pigtail. Secure with a rubber band.
  4. Repeat the procedure, adding more hair from the sides as you go, just as with a French braid. Pull on the braid a little to get more volume and messier look.

Tips!

The braid doesn't have to be high up on the head - it can be done lower, too.
  1. Put all the hair in a normal ponytail at the desired height.
  2. Then divide the ponytail into two equal parts, one above and one underneath. Put a hair tie on the upper half, and create a loop. Pull the lower part through the loop so it's in front.
  3. Repeat the process until you've gone all the way down to the end.
To add a little volume and a messire look, you can pull the braid a part a little. Start all the way at the top and work down.

You're going to need quite a few hair ties - if you have light hair, it's a good idea to use clear rubber bands. If you have dark hair, use dark ones.
