Extensions for your wedding hair style

  • Tape hair gives beautiful thick hair when you have your hair loose.
  • Due to the flexible bonds, Nail hair is wonderful for having both loose and up hair styles. A big advantage is also that the extension can stay in for up to three months, so will be beautiful for the whole honeymoon.
  • Clip-on sets are perfect for the bride that wants a non-permanent solution.  Of course, you can always use them again after the wedding.  Clip-on sets are great for filling out your own hair and providing thickness.

Important to think about when you are doing the hair yourself at home

It's a good idea to have clips, hair pins, hair ties, a comb and brush, hair spray and shine spray on hand. You might want to do a test updo before the wedding day to see how long it takes and how the style works with your hair.

Pre-wedding preparations

  • Getting married can be extremely stressful and uncomfortable situations can make you even more stressed.  For this reason, we advise you not to go too crazy with your choice of wedding hair style. Better to choose something you feel comfortable in and maybe have had before.  Have the same style with small changes if you want to have something new.
  • Book in time! 2-3 months before the wedding to be on the safe side.  Book a consultation roughly 1-2 weeks before the big day so that you and your hairdresser can discuss what you want together.  Sometimes a quick test can be done so that you both feel secure with the style.
  • Look around for inspirational pictures and take them with you to your hairdresser. It can be a good idea to take along a picture of your wedding dress, hair jewellery and other jewellery too so that the hairdresser can match the hair to the dress and accessories.
  • Wash your hair one day before the big day and don’t use conditioner.  It will help the hairdresser to get the hair to hold better.
  • If you are planning on having one of the more permanent extension attachment methods then it is a good idea to get them done 1-2 weeks before the wedding.  It is easier to form the style when the bonds do not pull.  If you want to colour your hair, then this is also best done a couple of weeks before the big day – both in order to get used to the colour yourself but also to make you feel that everything feels right.
