Striving for Ethical and Sustainable Sourcing

At Rapunzel of Sweden, we aim to enhance beauty and confidence through high-quality hair extensions while upholding strong ethical and sustainable values. We are proud to be a trusted name in the hair and beauty industry, offering a wide range of DIY hair extensions that empower individuals to express themselves.

We believe that creating beauty should never come at the expense of ethics or the environment. We genuinely believe that Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is an important part of our journey. We have established a clear Code of Conduct that sets expectations for our partners, to make all aspects of our supply chain align with our values. Every supplier we work with must sign a certificate affirming their commitment to ethical sourcing, particularly human hair donations. At Rapunzel, we visit all our producers to experience the factories firsthand.

Our foremost responsibility at Rapunzel is the strive to source hair of the highest quality in an ethical and sustainable manner. We acknowledge that there are risks in the supply chain related to involuntary donations and unfair compensation, and we actively work to minimize these. Our goal is for all the hair we use to be 100% ethically and transparently sourced, and we are continuously striving to achieve this standard.

We strive for all hair donations to be made voluntarily, ethically, and with proper compensation.

Origin of Hair

At Rapunzel, we strive to make thoughtful choices in every step of the production process—including where our hair comes from. When selecting hair for our extensions, we not only focus on quality but also aim to support fair and respectful practices. This is why we choose hair from China, where donors receive fair compensation for their contributions.

In some regions, hair donations are made as religious offerings, with little to no benefit for the donors themselves. While we respect all cultural practices, our approach prioritizes transparency and fairness.
