Rapunzel of Sweden AB (corp. ID no. 556732-5047, hereinafter referred to as Rapunzel or “we”) is responsible for this site. The company is registered in Umeå, Sweden. Rapunzel is aware of the importance of protecting privacy and personal information. In order to protect the information you give us, we have established strict guidelines and security measures. When you register online on our website at www.rapunzelofsweden.com or in one of our salons, you give your consent that we will process and use the personal information you submit in accordance with this Privacy Policy. The privacy policy applies to all personal data collected, stored or used by Rapunzel. It is important that you read and understand our Privacy Policy before using our services. Rapunzel is responsible for all personal data we collect and process in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

WHAT INFORMATION DOES RAPUNZEL OF SWEDEN SAVE/STORE/COLLECT?

Rapunzel collects and stores personal data, meaning name, email, mobile number, address, etc., from all site visitors who register information on the website or shop in the online store. We also use cookies, in accordance with our cookie policy, and track your IP address to improve the services we provide you and your Rapunzel experience. We also collect and protect certain personal information, such as name, address, phone number and email address, etc. from salon customers, and in some cases from third parties, for example, through purchases via Klarna. Rapunzel of Sweden saves credit card information only to issue potential refunds and deletes the information as soon as possible after the refund was issued. To give you a better experience, we may combine the information you provide us with other information that is publicly available.

HOW DOES RAPUNZEL OF SWEDEN USE THE INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE?

We use the information to complete your orders and/or purchases, to improve and customize your shopping experience with us and to communicate with you in accordance with this policy. We may contact you depending on your chosen mode of contact, by email, mail or telephone, to recommend similar or complementary products or treatments.

The market research we conduct is to help us learn more about how we can improve our product offerings and improve your customer experience. In order to provide you with better service, we may also combine the information you provide us with information about your product interest and third party purchases, as described in the Cookie Policy.  This includes demographic information and information that is available to the public. We may also combine this information with information we receive from our partners.
 
If you sign up for Hair Academy, the information you submit to us in the course of enrollment to any of our courses will be used to invite you to future courses.  
 
You can register for our newsletters and other mailings on our website. We will then use your email address and mobile phone number to send you email notifications and text messages, but only if you have given your express consent to this. Consent is given on our website or in any of our salons. You can always withdraw your consent either through a link found in any email from us or by sending an email to gb@rapunzel.com. 
 
If you have left products in your shopping cart on our website and entered your email address, we will send you a reminder. Since you have not completed your order or purchase on these occasions, in accordance with the above, we will process this type of information only if we have a legitimate interest in it; i.e., in order to remind you of your current order.  However, your email address will not be stored after this reminder has been sent, and we will not contact you by e-mail other than as stated above unless you have given your consent. We always try to minimize this, and therefore we do not save your information for longer than is needed to send your reminder. 
 
We will process your name and mailing address in order to fulfill the delivery of your purchase and then to fulfill our obligations to you as a customer. If you have enrolled in one of our courses (such as Hair Academy), we process the personal information you provide to us in connection with the application to identify you as a course participant and thus fulfill our contractual obligations to you. 
 
When you sign up for our newsletter or email, we will collect your explicit consent for this data processing. All other personal data processing mentioned here is undertaken to inform you about products and services we believe you may be interested in, or to evaluate and develop the services we offer. We strive to process as few personal data as possible in the least invasive way possible. We never process personal data other than that which is necessary to achieve the purposes stated herein. In our assessment, we have therefore come to the conclusion in this context that our interest is justified and motivated.

HOW LONG DO WE SAVE YOUR INFORMATION? 

We only save information as long as is deemed beneficial to you, and necessary to fulfill our contractual obligations towards you as well and meet statutory storage times. 
 
You will remain in our database for three years from your most recent purchase. If you would like to be removed earlier, please contact gb@rapunzel.com. If you have made a purchase in our online store, your personal information related to the purchase will be stored for seven years from the date of purchase, in order for us to fulfill our accounting obligations.

DOES RAPUNZEL OF SWEDEN SHARE YOUR INFORMATION WITH OTHERS?

Rapunzel does not sell, lease or disclose our customers’ name, mailing address, email address or other personal information to third parties unless we have previously informed you and, where applicable, obtained your consent to disclose this information to trusted partners or third party cookies. To maintain our website, manage our database, distribute email and communicate with our customers, Rapunzel enters into contracts with third parties. This will only happen on behalf of Rapunzel and no permission is granted for any of these service providers to use your information for any purpose other than to perform tasks according to our instructions. We will not disclose your information in any way to third parties unless we are required to do so by law or in connection with police investigations, legal claims or proceedings. If Rapunzel is acquired by or merged with another company, information about Rapunzel's customers will become available to the new entity. The new entity will protect your privacy and your personal information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

ACCURACY AND MAINTENANCE

You are entitled to request access to and correction of any personal data you provide to us. We hope that any questions regarding the processing of your personal data can be resolved efficiently through communication between us; however, if you prefer, you always have the right to contact the Swedish Data Protection Authority to raise an objection regarding our processing of your personal information. LEGAL PURCHASING AGE

If you are under eighteen (18) years of age, we require you to inform a parent or guardian and obtain their consent before ordering a product from our online store or in one of our stores. 
 
Rapunzel does not wish to collect and store personal information from persons under thirteen (13) years. If you are under thirteen (13) years of age, your parent or guardian must register as a user on your behalf. Rapunzel reserves the right to delete your personal information and disable any user account if it is discovered that you are under thirteen (13) years of age.
